Excellance Type III & Type IIIL ambulances are the choice of EMS providers who demand the maneuverability and handling of a cutaway-style chassis.

  • The Type III ambulances are mounted on 84” cab-to-axle, 138” wheelbase chassis while the Type IIIL have 100” cab-to-axle, 159” wheelbase chassis.
  • Type III has a standard body size of 96” W x 146” L with the Type IIIL body size of 96” W x 166” L.
  • Cutaway-style chassis are available from Ford and Chevrolet.
  • Some of the standard equipment includes:
    • Exterior battery storage compartment
    • Custom-fabricated aluminum diamond-plate running boards
    • Walk-through sliding, lockable door from cab to module
    • All LED lighting interior and exterior
    • Heavy-duty vinyl floor covering

  • Interior headroom is standard 69” with 72” as an optional upgrade.
